But user comments are starting to make me want to change my mind.
"The viewing I attended was 90% men and boys. This movie is brutally violent with body parts going everywhere in comic book fashion. It is filmed in black and white with the occasional color added on the women or for blood or whatever. Also, there really is nothing positive about this movie - very few redeemable characters if any. The women are all hookers that are scantilly clad. There is only one sex scene that shows a women topless while having intercourse."
"Ladies.....you have your chick flicks, this is most definitely a GUY FLICK. Some of the women are as tough as the men - namely some Asian chick named Mehoe. So if you enjoy women getting their just due in the world of violence, then you might like this."
Poo. And here I thought it was a classy black-and-white film. (Makes me think detective + private eye, or even the old Batman cartoon series.)
But I guess not.
There are positive reviews.
But they don't seem very... reliable?
"The storyies in the movie are violent and exciting. There fast paced and upbeat. The actors all bring life to the people they play and at the same time created classical and memerable character."
See?
Bleh. And just when I thought there was a good movie coming out.
What is with Devon Aoki appearing in all these new movies lately? I don't like her. I prefer Lucy Liu over her any day. She doesn't look Japanese, she doesn't look Caucasian; she looks like one of those malformed porcelain dolls that wake up in the middle of the night to stab people fake. Her character's name in Sin City is "Miho" for crying out loud.
Bleghhgh.
And omfg this is just SICK. =___=
